Well, I have good news and bad news but God can handle both!

The leg they were concerned infection had set in, had not, but it WAS a bad hematoma which they have given her some strong antibiotics for. They cleaned this right knee out, stitched it up and will remove those stitches next Thursday. They were able to work her left leg with the worse femur break up to a bend of 130 degrees. (If her femur had not been so damaged they said she could have put weight on it now, which sounded encouraging to me) They had to put both of her feet in splints, set at an angle of 20 degrees more toward her body as it is the degree her feet would flex to in walking. She has not been able to move it in as far as they thought she should at this point and were very concerned about her left foot. To keep her from having a limp when she walks again, they had to do this. Don't know right now how long it has to stay at this position but it is very uncomfortable. Please pray hard for this.
The bad news, God can handle, is Holly will have to have another surgery on her right leg when the time comes that she can finally move her knee. While watching it on X-Ray during the movement exercises, they noticed her knee was trying to move out of place, if they had continued, it would have broken apart, again. Thus the need for a later surgery to help her move it as it is tightening and calcifying; that right knee just has to heal longer and she cannot bend it right now.
She is home now, praise the Lord. Continue to pray against pain and for them as they prepare to see Graceyn off on Tuesday morning. The jet will fly out of Laurel with Graceyn, Mike and Rhonda Parker at 10:00 a.m.
When I have any other info, I will pass it along. Thanks for all you are praying and doing for this precious family of God's.

I know and believe that both Holly and Graceyn will be healed. God can do mighty works, and this healing is nothing to Him. Last summer I was a lifeguard at The Wellness Center in Brandon. I watched this family almost everyday all summer long. I remember seeing Graceyn running around and trying her best to swim. It isn't the end of her running and swimming days!!!! Holly was always out in the water with them and loving them as much as she could. I looked up to her. As I visualize seeing this whole family together a whole year ago, God puts another image in my mind. This image is the whole family at the pool this summer swimming and running around. In the name of Jesus, it will happen. I , as well as my mother, am praying for this whole family. I pray that God gives Holly a since of peace. It is hard enough for her to be going through procedures and therapy, but to worry about her little girl is only adding more. Holly, put your trust in the Lord no matter what. He can do ANYTHING if you just believe He can. And for Graceyn, last summer I watched you swim and jump off the diving board and helped you get snacks and drinks out of the machines. I pray that this summer I will see that little girl walk up to a coke machine and she will ask me to help her get a coke because she doesn't have enough money. I love you all as brothers and sisters in Christ, and I will be praying everyday until everyone is COMPLETELY healed!!!!!
Sincerely,
Kelsey Morphis

I heard about your family's plight thru an e-mail requesting prayer, the day of the accident. My best friend is in a home-school group w/Tina C. I sent out the prayer request to everyone in my address book, & it turns out we have mutual acquaintences, plus one of my other friends just cried & cried over this...she's never met or heard of you all. Please keep your faith, and know that even strangers are praying for you, as you go thru this trying time. Remember that God does not give us more than He knows we can handle, & He will bring you all thru this. We do not know why this is happening, but I am praying that your family's faith will be made stronger, and you, Holly, and Graceyn will become an inspiration to us all...that is already happening. Please update us when you can and we will continue to pray for the strength and recovery of your entire family. Understand, that even though Holly and Graceyn are the ones this "happened" to, it is affecting the whole family. Lane, and your other two children need our thoughts and prayers just as much. We have come to love all of you, even though we've never met you. Stay strong! There are millions of people out there praying for you!

I found your blog through "For the People" and am praying for all of you (Lane, Graceyn, Holly, Maddie and Laurel). You have such faith, that the Lord will not overlook you. As you know, through Him all things are possible.
My prayers for healing, strength and continued faith are with you.
